You know, I didn’t think it would happen, but to a certain extent, I’ve found a weird measure of peace with this diagnosis.

Yes, it’s not great. But really considering how my scans have come back, it’s not too bad either. The prognosis is good. Doesn’t mean things are blues skies: I’m worried about the surgery, worried about recovery, and still living with daily symptoms. I’m definitely changed, but there is a weird level of calm amidst all this craziness.
