My favorite thing in the world is a forest path that leads to water.

If I think back on my childhood, we would walk for a while through a forest and exit upon a small clear lake where then water play could commence. In Australia, my favorite thing in Byron Bay was outside the main city near my hostel: it was a path that winded through greenery and wildlife until it opened up on the expanse of the ocean. And even here, I love walking through the little wooded path that brings us to the pond, or the Humber River.

Something about that process of walking through woods and trees that then opens up on an expanse of water is so soothing. Everything settles a bit in me
