It’s a stressful time – for the world. If you’re worried, anxious, and frustrated, you’re not alone.

So be easy. Be easy on yourself and your family. You don’t have to get in perfect shape. You don’t have to get your house in perfect order. You don’t have to homeschool your kids.

They are in a state of emergency too. They are anxious, and scared, and frustrated. More so because they are young and all they see is you worried – so that exacerbates their worry. You are their rock.

So be easy.

Cuddle, play, talk, sing, watch. Don’t worry about trying to teach kids in this emotional state. Only do what you can, when you can.

If, like my girl, you do better with tasks – then there are online resources for lessons. Scholastic has a great one. It helps her focus and gain control over her world. But that’s her – other kids may get more stressed. Do what you and your family need, not what you feel you should.

So be easy.
