So it’s well established by now that I don’t do malls or shops very well at all. Malls give me anxiety, not just because of the people but also because of the ‘buy, buy, buy’ atmosphere. I prefer online shopping, and I adore a good vintage shop to pick through things. So when Trinity Bellwoods holds a massive vintage/yard sale in the park you bet you tushy that I’ll be there! It has everything….some things you wonder why anybody needs them, but that’s part of the fun. Pretty things, shiny things, things of all shapes and sizes. Tons of pretties to look at, all with a history all their own.

Andrew and I grabbed a coffee and wandered, eventually meeting up with a friend who kept him company when I abandoned him.

You can’t keep me away from the crochet. I dug through an entire box, picking out exactly what I wanted, and then was immediately distracted from a conversation with my friend Reg by another pretty crochet thing. Le sigh. What are you going to do? Well, if you’re Andrew, you sit on a nearby picnic bench and just watch the madness unfold….then end up carrying it.

This is my idea of a perfect day of shopping. This is my idea of a mall! Vintage and used everywhere – so much fun. I really could’ve got a ton more lovely vintage items.  But here’s my haul: two pairs of boots  *$35CAd for both pairs!*, a top *$5!*, and three crochet lace things that I’ll probably make stuff out of. The only reason I didn’t get a few other items is because we were on our bikes and there’s only so much we can haul on the long way back. Next time, I’m bringing a car.
