Toronto’s Cherry Blossoms are at their peak right now. The park is full of people taking in the beauty of these blooms. I think as the warmer weather has gotten pushed back every year, the cherry blossom festival is what officially marks Spring for me. It’s the real watershed moment of the year as everyone flocks to the warm sunshine, beautiful blooms, and lovely water. And we’re no different.

Last night we packed up a picnic dinner and headed down. Complete with gross non-alcoholic wine *that we didn’t drink – too sweet*, delicious salami *treated ourselves non-vegan*, daiya cheese, and artisan bread.  All on Star Wars plates and napkins. Sprawled on a big blanket we munched away as the shadows grew longer. Once done, a brief visit to the water followed by a lovely winding walk back out of the park. If you’re around Toronto this week, get thee to High Park! See the Cherry Blossoms before they’re gone – they don’t stick around too long.
