A short walk from the campsite there’s a set of old ruins. The ruins of an old mill. They’re maintained and cared for, and often host beautiful wedding ceremonies and receptions. It’s a stunning place that has the charm of age but the cleanliness of modern care. They obviously tend to the place, just don’t look over the wall to the mossy swamp behind it – yuk!

As a photographer, I was giddy with the ideas of shots I could take of a couple in this simple yet stunning background. I settled for fun pictures, taken by my husband, of the great little backless dress I wore. Yet another example of camping dresses in the wild. I felt a little like a shepherdess walking the ruins of some Lords manor. Not true of course, but there’s a little of the rustic in me as my family *and myself* hails from rural  Poland.

Beautiful to sit on and shoot, just don’t look behind that wall – the mossy swamp water, mixed with the obvious signs of man in the form of garbage thrown carelessly away hides there.
