Ontario has many lovely unspoiled parks. Parks that are not too civilized.

Parks where you can hike and it’s an actual challenge. Parks where you climb down small cliffs, cross beaver dams, and balance along logs as part of your journey.

It was a challenging day as my boots – which have been well broken in over the last few years – gave me a massive blister that tore at the skin and the mosquitos were as ferocious as Spartans. I was quite done by the end. But I’m still grateful that we have these wild lands.
