Summer isn’t summer until I’ve sat in these chairs, looked at this view, and swam out to make sure the rock that’s been there for twenty years is still there.

I’ve been coming to this cottage for twenty years now. It’s not mine, but I feel like it belongs to my extended family. It’s owned by my BFF Vic’s parents – who have generously embraced her wayward friends. And I remember twenty-two of us cramming ourselves in as university kids, to coming up here with my Husband for the first time, to bringing our three month old puppy, to bringing our little girl. So many memories and so many changes. So, summer isn’t summer until I’ve sat here.

Whole outfit thrifted.
