A road trip isn’t a road trip without pit stops…

…multiple pit stops. The scenery while driving was beautiful – Ontario really is picturesque in the Summer.

Collingwood was a stop for some much needed food – I was getting quite irritable and needed greens and fat. So a huge salad eaten on the dock while looking at the lake and a pretty boat was just what was needed.

then driving along, I saw a pretty little river that opened into the lake, and Andrew immediately pulled over. Of course trudging through the overgrown greens to put my feet in the water had to happen. I somehow can’t go up to water without sticking my feet in it. Weird.

Then we continued on our journey seeing the pretty sights and quaint little towns, and derelict not-so-quaint towns too. Let’s be real.

Naturally, I’m a bit of a sunset chaser and when the sun was going to disappear, we quickly pulled over again to take some shots and enjoy the golden lit field. It was just a few minutes from our air bnb, and so we arrived there just as the sky was turning from a grey to a black. Yes, the destination was great – Bruce Peninsula is stunning – but the journey had some fun sights too.
